Set the survey period and frequency for your survey

Note: This article covers one of the four steps in creating a survey. For the full overview, see this article.

The survey period defines when your survey is available for participants. In this step, you can determine the survey start and closing date, as well as whether it should be sent once or on a recurring basis.

 

How to set the survey period

  1. In the survey setup, go to step 2: Survey period.

  2. Under When should the survey start? pick one of two options:

    • Schedule for later: select a start date and time for the survey to open.

    • Immediately: the survey will be sent to participants as soon as you complete setup and click Launch survey.

  3. Define the frequency:

    • Once: the survey will run one time only

    • Recurring: choose weekly, monthly, or quarterly if you want the survey to repeat automatically

  4. Set the survey duration:

    • If you selected Once, choose clear start and end dates, including times.

    • If you selected a Recurring option, set the overall start and end dates of the recurring schedule. Then, choose the survey duration in the drop-down menu below.

Good to know:

  • Participants will receive their email invitation at the start of the chosen survey period.

  • Recurring surveys will automatically launch on your chosen schedule until you stop them.
