Understanding your survey invitation
This article concerns survey invitations sent to participants. Coordinator invitations contain different instructions and are addressed in this article.
What is a survey invitation?
A survey invitation is an email from Effectory, on behalf of your organization, inviting you to participate in an employee survey. It usually includes:
-
A personalised message explaining the purpose and duration of the survey.
-
A personal link that grants you access to your questionnaire. This link is unique to you and should not be shared.
Note: If you’ve been invited via a printed invitation instead of an email, please see the dedicated article.
Who sends the invitation?
Invitations are generated by Effectory on behalf of your employer. They may come from survey@effectory.com or from a dedicated address if your organisation decides to send the emails itself. Always check that the sender’s address ends in @effectory.com or your organisation’s domain.
When and how often will I receive invitations?
-
Survey invitation: Sent only once, at the start of the survey period.
-
Survey reminders: Sent throughout the survey period, but only if you haven’t yet submitted your survey. The exact cadence and timing are set by your organisation. Once your survey is successfully submitted, no further reminders will be sent to you.
If you believe you are receiving reminders in error, see the article What to do if you receive the wrong or duplicate invitation.
What should I do when I receive an invitation?
-
Read the email to understand the purpose and closing date of the survey.
-
Click the Share your thoughts button to access the questionnaire.
-
If you cannot complete the survey immediately, keep the email. You can return via the same personal link as long as the survey is open.
Tip: The button with your personal link may look different depending on the survey or organisation: for example, the colour or text may vary. However, you will always find it clearly visible in your invitation email. Here’s an example of what it can look like:
Concerned about confidentiality?
Responses you provide in an Effectory survey are always confidential. Your employer never sees your individual answers, and results are only shown as group averages. For a full explanation, see the article Your confidentiality when answering a survey.
