What to do if you receive the wrong survey invitation

This article concerns survey invitations sent to participants. If you have received a coordinator invitation by mistake, please contact your HR department.

A survey invitation is the email you receive with your personal link to take part in a survey from Effectory. If you’re not familiar with how survey invitations work, start with the article Understanding your survey invitation.

Receiving an invitation meant for someone else

If the name in the email does not match yours:

  • Do not click the link. Personal links are tied to a specific participant.

  • Forward the email to the intended recipient if you know who they are, or delete it.

  • Request a new invitation from your organisation or our Helpdesk if you believe you should participate.

Received an invitation from a previous employer

If you receive a survey invitation from a previous employer, there is no need to take part. These invitations sometimes occur because your old email address remained on a distribution list. The easiest option is to delete the email or let your former manager know. For more context and advice, see the article Managing invitations from former employers.
