Managing survey invitations from former employers

This article concerns survey invitations sent to participants. Coordinator invitations contain different instructions and are addressed in this article.

A survey invitation is the email you receive with your personal link to take part in a survey from Effectory. If you’re not familiar with how survey invitations work, start with the article Understanding your survey invitation.

Why you might receive survey invitations after leaving an organisation

  • Your email address remained on an old distribution list.

  • A project you participated in is still active and your address was not removed.

What should you do?

  • Do not attempt to access the survey. Links are personal and may include sensitive data.

  • Notify your former employer. They can update their participant list and remove your details.

  • Delete or ignore the email. You are not obliged to take part in any surveys, including those sent by former employers.
