What data can I edit?
In your employee data, you can edit the values in any column that is not matched with an Effectory data field. These columns are marked with a blue icon in the header, so you can quickly identify which ones are editable. Any updates you make to these values will be used in My Effectory from that moment on.
What happens when I edit a value?
When you manually edit a value in an employee record, that change will stay in place and won’t be overwritten by future data runs from your HRIS. Manually updated cells are marked with a blue line on the left border.
You can see an example of this in the picture below, where the cells Senior Developer and Junior Recruiter in the column Position show manually edited data.
To make it easier to manage your data, you can filter your employee list to show only the values that have been manually updated. To do so, click the dropdown menu at the top of the page and switch the view from All employee data to Only edited data.
How can I undo a change?
If you need to undo a change, simply click the revert icon on the right-hand side of the edited cell. This will remove your manual input, and the original data from your HRIS will be applied again immediately.
Editing values in bulk
You can also edit or revert values for multiple employees at once. To do this, use the checkboxes on the left-hand side to select the relevant employees. A menu will appear at the bottom of the page with two options:
-
Edit values: Opens a pop-up where you can choose which field to update and what value to apply.
-
Revert all changes: Restores all manually edited values for the selected employees to the original data from your HRIS.
This makes it quick and easy to manage data updates across larger groups.
What if a column becomes mapped later?
If a column that was previously editable is matched to an Effectory data field, it will then be managed by your HRIS system. The UI will always show which value is currently active—whether it's coming from your HR system or a manual update.
