Answering an Effectory survey

Participating in an Effectory survey gives you the opportunity to share your experience and ideas. Surveys may include various question types—multiple‑choice, rating scales and open‑text questions. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions about completing your questionnaire.

Is participation mandatory?

Participation in Effectory surveys is always voluntary. Your employer cannot force you to take part, and they should not ask if you participated. Our system also never shows your employer whether or not you participated in a survey.

Do I have to answer every question?

No. If you do not have an answer or do not wish to respond, you can either select “Don’t know/No experience” (for closed questions) or simply leave the question unanswered. Your survey will still be submitted successfully.

Can I select multiple answers?

  • Closed questions: Usually allow only one answer, unless explicitly stated otherwise (e.g., “Select all that apply”).

  • Open questions: You may write as much as you like in the text box provided.

Can I change my answers after sending the survey?

  • Before submission: You can change your answers at any time while filling in the questionnaire. Simply click back to previous questions and adjust your responses.

  • After submission: If the survey period is still open, contact our Helpdesk; they can reopen your questionnaire so you can make changes and resubmit it. Once the survey period ends, changes are no longer possible because results are processed automatically.

Can I close the survey and finish later?

Yes. Your responses are saved automatically after each question. To continue later, reopen your personal survey link from your invitation email (or enter your access code at login.effectory.com) and you will resume where you left off.

How will I know my survey has been submitted?

At the end of the questionnaire, click Submit. A confirmation or “Thank you” message will appear. Once submitted, you will no longer be able to edit your answers.

Concerned about confidentiality?

In Effectory surveys, your responses are always confidential and participation is voluntary. Your employer never sees individual answers; only group averages are reported. For a full explanation, see the article Your confidentiality when answering a survey.
