Accessing a survey with a printed invitation
This article is written for survey participants. If you are a coordinator and want to learn more about printable invitations, please refer to this article.
A survey invitation is the way you are given access to take part in an Effectory survey. Invitations are sent by Effectory on behalf of your organization and contain the details you need to log in. Most participants receive their invitation by email. Others may receive a printed invitation. This article explains what printed invitations are, how to use them, and what to do if you run into issues.
What is a printed invitation?
A printed invitation is a document generated by our platform, downloaded by your organisation’s coordinator, and then printed for distribution. It contains:
-
A personal access code
-
A QR code that links directly to your survey
-
The survey name and instructions on how to log in
These invitations are printed and handed out in person or distributed internally when email invitations are not suitable.
How do you use a printed invitation?
If you've been invited to a survey via a printed invitation, you can access your survey in two ways:
-
Scan the QR code: Open your phone’s camera, scan the QR code, and tap the link that appears.
-
Enter the access code: Go to login.effectory.com, type in the access code from your invitation, and click Log in.
What if it doesn’t work?
-
QR code not scanning? Enter the access code manually at login.effectory.com.
-
Access code not working? Double-check that you typed it exactly as shown (letters and numbers). If it still doesn’t work, get in touch with our Helpdesk.
Confidentiality and privacy
Using a printed invitation is just as confidential as using an email link. Your employer cannot see whether you answered the survey or what your answers were, as only group results are reported. For details, see Your confidentiality when answering a survey and How your data is used for Effectory surveys.
