How to adjust existing custom questions

 

The new Question Library feature is currently accessible in view-only mode and is not yet available to all users. When reviewing these articles, please keep in mind that certain functionalities may still be unavailable.

The question library feature on the My Effectory platform allows you to easily create questionnaires tailored to your organization’s needs. This article explains how to adjust existing custom questions in your library.

Generally, to adjust questions:

  1. Go to the project page.
  2. Click on Project question library.
  3. Go to the tab All questions.
  4. Click on the question you want to edit.
    > An Edit question side panel with question details opens.
  5. Click on the component you want to change. Find more information on editable components below.

Adjustable components of custom questions are:

Variables

Variables are placeholder for your individual content, e.g. [company name] can be replaced by your actual company's name. Depending on your subscription, you may also change departments' variables and even managers' variables. Be aware: Changing a variable applies to all questions within your library!

  1. Under Project question library, go to the tab Variables.
  2. Click on the pen icon next to the variable.
    > An Edit variable pop-up window opens.
  3. Edit the variable, e.g. company name
  4. Click Confirm changes.

A preview will show your variable in the context of actual questions.

Translation

Note: Every custom question you add will be automatically translated into the languages you have available in your project.

  1. Click on the question's translation visible in the question's side panel.
  2. Enter the adjusted translation text.
  3. Click Save.

A question's topic

  1. In the question overview, click on a question's topic in the topic column.
    > An Edit topic side panel opens.
  2. Click on the topic to adjust.
  3. Click Save.

Order of questions

In the question library overview, drag and drop questions to change their order.

Note: You cannot place a question outside its subject/topic! Change order only within the topic.

To change the topic order:

  1. In the question overview, click on the three dots next to a topic headline.
  2. Select Change topic order.
    > A Change topic order side panel opens.
  3. Drag & drop topics into desired order.
