Raw data variants

At Effectory, we understand that you may need raw data (also known as flat data) for various purposes, such as displaying scores in internal dashboards, linking scores to other data sources, or conducting detailed analyses of employee feedback. When requesting raw data, we must ensure privacy and GDPR compliance. Generally, raw data is provided in three variants: Anonymous, Pseudonymous, and Non-anonymous.

Variant A: Anonymous

What it's for:

  • Ideal when the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) does not include a raw data clause that allows for raw data transfers.
  • Suitable for high-over analysis.

Exclusions:

  • Cannot be used for linking to other data sources.
  • Does not include employee identifiers or answers to open questions.
  • Does not contain answers to open-ended questions.

Variant B: Pseudonymous

What it's for:

  • Used when the DPA includes a raw data clause that allows for raw data transfers.
  • Allows more detailed analysis by including pseudonymous information.
  • Can include demographic details such as gender, age, and tenure.

Exclusions:

  • Does not include directly identifiable personal data (e.g., names, personnel numbers).
  • Cannot be used for linking to other data sources.
  • Requires additional steps before the survey starts (see below).

Variant C: Non-anonymous

What it's for:

  • Used when the DPA includes a raw data clause for the provision of raw data.
  • Allows the inclusion of employee identifiers and other personal data.
  • Can include answers to open questions and multiple hierarchies.

Exclusions:

Requires additional steps before the survey starts (see below).

Requirements for variant B and C

Before we can provide variant B or C, the following prerequisites must be arranged at least two weeks before the start of the survey:

1. Data Processing Agreement: Ensure the DPA includes the raw data clause or enter into an addendum.
2. Privacy Statement: Use a modified version of the privacy statement to inform participants about the further processing of data.
3. Operational Form: Complete and sign an operational form with Effectory.
4. Survey Preparations: Ensure communication materials align with the modified privacy statement.

You should also consider involving your Works Council, data privacy officer, or other relevant roles within your organization when making arrangements for variant B or C.
